Bram Kohlhausen interview

I recently met and sat through the UCF game with Bram and a few of his Lamar HS team members. Bram is a pocket passing QB with great arm strength poise and leadership skills.

DD - Please tell us your height, weight and 40 time.
BK - 6'2, 200, 4.7

DD - You were one of the first, if not the first to commit to the Houston Cougars, what brought about that early decision?
BK - We decided to commit early because it put behind a lot of distractions.

DD - I understand that Coach Phillips and Coach Kingsbury are staying in touch regularly, what can you tell us about your recruitment?
BK - Coach Kingsbury and Coach Phillips have both become mentors to me. They treated me like family since day one.

DD - Are other schools still in touch? If so, who are they?
BK – Utah and Ole Miss.

DD - Tell us about the season you and the Lamar HS team are having this season.
BK - We are having a good season. We are 9-1 and looking to make a good run in the playoffs.

DD - How does the Lamar offense compare to the Houston offense?
BK - The Lamar offense is a pro style offense. I will probably throw the ball three times more at UH then I do at Lamar.

DD - Coach Nolan has been at Lamar for what seems like forever, tell us a little about him.
BK - He's been there forever and is very conservative but knows exactly what he's doing.

DD - With Earl Foster and Kourtlant Akins also committing to Houston are their others on your Lamar team that are considering the Cougars as well?
BK - I think now with Kourtlandt, Earl and I committing, UH can get whoever they want at Lamar now.

DD - Will you graduate in early?
BK - I don't know if I'm graduating early or not yet.

DD - What is your best senior memory thus far?
BK - Winning district out right.

DD - What do you plan to study at UH at this point?
BK – Business, most likely.

Bram, many thanks and good luck in the playoffs.
