First started as a sophomore at both OT and DT. As a junior, on defense, he recorded 75 tackles (42 solos and 11 for losses, 4 sacks). On the offensive side of the ball he graded 88% and had 23 pancake blocks. For his efforts, he was named First-Team All-District 4-AA by MPSA south coaches and All-Lincoln County by sports writers. A 2-year letter winner in both football and track (shot put and discus). A hard worker who won the "Cougar off-season Award" for his efforts in the weightroom as a sophomore.
Benched 275, squatted 405 and cleaned 270 pounds as a junior.
