| Committed to NC State shortly after the 2002 summer. Considered one of the elite prospects in the state of North Carolina and had numerous offers from ACC programs. And why NC State? "Well, they came at me the hardest over the summertime," Simmons said. "I just liked the coaches and the players." He averaged 12 points and 7 rebounds as a junior. Breakout performance came at the 2002 Pepsi Mid-Summer Challenj. |
